Back to School Disney Crafts!

How is it almost September?!

Back to school is looking different for everyone this year and I just wanna say I feel for all the teachers and students! I used to be an educator at an early learning center and I could not imagine going back with all the new rules and regulations! However, I also know that teachers are superheroes and you will find new creative ways to keep learning fun and SAFE!

Disney Clip Art

My classroom was for toddlers and being as obsessed with Disney, you know we did Disney Themed projects as often as we could! I rounded up a few of my favorites to share with you! These are best for younger kids that can be done at home or at school!

Finger Painting the Fab Five

This one is super easy and a great way to learn colors! I drew out the outlines for iconic Disney Characters and had the students finger paint, it was a blast to watch because some students stayed in the lines while others finger painted the whole page! For Minnie, Daisy, Goofy, and Donald Duck I just cut out the outline and hung them up! Mickey, I decided to do a little different because he is the main mouse after all and black, yellow, red, white color combo is a classic, I had the students do all the pieces of his outfit and let them use glue sticks to make their own mickey puzzle! The Mickey shoes are a great way to tie in shoe lacing!

I can’t lie, those Mr. potato heads were my favorite! I had the students practice the five senses and let them pick eyes, ears, noses, feet, and mouths and had them create their own Mr. potato head! You know I had to throw some lion king in there and we did handprint lions and used a fork to make the manes! One great nap time I had the chance to draw up this giant ariel, and while I’m no artist I was proud of my in the dark outcome! We learned about fish and other creatures that live “under the sea” we made fishies and practiced our cutting and glue stick handling, and then we got our hands a little messy and made some handprint crabs!

Belle was another Nap time creation! For this lesson, we made footprint beasts and everyone brought their favorite book and those were our storytime books for the week!

I hope this inspired you to bring some Disney magic to your classroom or home this year! Tag me on Instagram to be featured!
